Sustainability is thoughtfulness and caring with regards to our planet and our communities. It is also an internal balance. Sustainability is managing these internal and external worlds. We must keep our global attention on climate change and our related ethical challenges. We should look at our immediate impact and the daily consequences of our actions. As much as possible we want the 
earthly systems to keep running without intervention.
 While being the perfect teacher or the perfect parent is impossible, we can make a huge difference for the better. Children are constantly learning to adapt to the world around them and it is critical that we listen to the strategies for supporting the best in education. We should be respectful. We should use our best skills to show how much we want to listen to the words and to show that we care about the person inside.
Inclusivity is the heart of taking care of each other as families, friends, colleagues, and fellow members of all the communities of which we are a part. How do we address the issues of supporting and including our outliers in race, religion, age, gender, and social economic standing? Also those who live in the realm of “special needs.” How do we include the disenfranchised? How do we insure justice and fairness for all people?
